May all your days be as colorful as my shirt 😋 (@zara ). Okay now to the actual point: . . Everyone believes in one thing or the other. If your beliefs, way of life or dressing for that matter makes you the "different" one or raises questions, it is easy to feel the odd one out. However, I believe that is an opportunity you are blessed with to break stereotypes and to help people around you get informed. In all my life abroad with muslims, non-muslims and athiests around, I have found that stereotypes or generalization is the single most reason of misunderstandings when I have deep discussions with my friends. So, it would be nice if the notions of "one can be religious and a scientist/researcher at the same time", "why islam says whats it says", "women do also make a 'conscious' choice of wearing hijab and its not always what fox news says about them being forced" be heard in a positive way in healthy meaningful discussions. And not just get heard, but also hear others out for we gain much more if we open ourselves to listening and not just shuting ourselves out. Also, it has to be a journey of not just imparting knowledge but mainly of seeking knowledge yourself. ✨ . . Bottom line: Own Yourself but with Humility. 💕 . . Through the rich guided tours in Andalusia, I was transported through time, and in that journey I witnessed tales of love, power, art, glory, betrayal, descent and evil - all in a couple hundred years. As rightly said by hubsy, "If you want to feel proud and sad at the same time, visit Andalusia." . . My top picks in each city: . Seville: Alcazar de Sevilla, Plaza de España, Plaza de toros de la Real Maestranza de Caballeria de Sevilla. . . Granada: AlHambra including Nasrid palaces, GeneralLife Gardens, Albaicin district, Jardines de zoraya for a flamenco show. . . Cordoba: Cordoba Mosque, Palace of Christian Monarchs, Jewish Quarter, Roman bridge, A lovely old guy on the Roman bridge from whom you can get your name written in Arabic calligraphy in around 2 euros. . .
